
Suraya Kassam
Owner & Speech-Language Pathologist
Suraya received her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Western Washington University in 2015. Since then she has worked closely with toddlers, pre-school and school-aged children with a variety of communication deficits.
Suraya is clinically certified with Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC), is registered with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of British Columbia (CSHPBC) and is a member of Speech and Hearing BC. Suraya is also listed on the Registry of Autism Service Providers (RASP).
When she’s not working, Suraya enjoys traveling, being outdoors, spending time with family and friends, cooking and baking.
Shinedeep Banwait
Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant
Shinedeep (Shiney) holds a Bachelor of Science in Medical Anthropology from the University of Calgary and a Master of Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Sydney. Since 2024, she has been working as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant at Small Talkers and across additional clinical and home visit settings, bringing a warm, holistic lens to every client she supports.
Shiney works with children and youth between the ages of 2 and 18, with a focus on speech sound production, receptive and expressive language, fluency (stuttering), augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and social communication (pragmatics). Her experience spans a wide range of profiles including children on the autism spectrum, those with neurodevelopmental conditions such as global developmental delay and intellectual disabilities, early intervention clients, and typically developing children.
